Charles Dickens wrote a story about a mean, old, stingy guy named Scrooge in 1843—almost 200 years ago—A Christmas Carol. It was written during another time of great change when England was transforming from an agrarian society to an industrial one.
If we want to know the future, we only have to look at the past. Centuries ago, Charles Dickens wrote about poverty, famine, people living in the rat-infested streets of London while the ruling class ate cake. Today, life is no different!
Does this sound familiar—“The Great Reset” that is being sold to us by our supposedly free press on TV and Social Media. Well, I believe we’re being Scrooged by the deep state!
In the blink of an eye, 2020 went down a very dark path—full of fear, shadows, corruption, spies and even a plague! We suffered with hurricanes, floods, locusts, fires, murder hornets, and more….
We now regularly witness a radical left fraction of our population tearing down monuments to historical heroes who made America great, and rewriting our children’s history books so that they call even Abe Lincoln, the president who ended slavery, a racist. As happened in yesteryear and again today—the “little people” are suffering as the rich grow richer.
Much like us in 2020, Dickens lived through the bubonic plague, and he was forced to work for pennies in a sweat shop after his failing aristocratic father was imprisoned for debt. So, from the age of ten-years old, Dickens was the sole provider for his impoverished father, mother and two siblings who lived in debtors’ prison.
Our government is rightly proud that debtors’ prisons no longer exist. However, we have instead the tents of homeless filling the streets of our largest cities—San Francisco Los Angles, Seattle, and New York City. We allow dissidents to terrorize our cities, loot our businesses—as we are told we cannot work due to the spread of the virus.
As I see it, there is something sinister going on in America. In the First Amendment, our Constitution grants us freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to worship and freedom of assembly. But now—even the President of the United States is censored by big social media and the press.
Maybe the COVID-19 virus will kill many. But, the unleashed pandemic is the silent killer of our souls as well. As the American people, we must rise against this tyranny and oppression, both the seen and the unseen.
Unless we protest, “We the people” becomes a censored concept. Therefore, I am speaking out because we are in danger of losing our constitutional right of freedom of speech.
In Christmas 2020, we must look inside ourselves, and see what we can do differently so that we rise up as a people and stop the tyranny and the evil plan that will enslave us now and enslave many generations to come. Perhaps we can learn from the spiritual transformation experienced by Charles Dickens’ character Scrooge, and become a kinder, more generous and more benevolent people.
Let’s embrace Christmas every day of the year and—with the embodiment of the its spirit—defeat the forces that threaten us.
