I had learned like everybody else from the film, The Secret, to focus on my desires. But it had exhausted me. I slumped back in my chair, knowing I was missing something besides my bouquet.

Snow White plucked the red roses from his hands effortlessly with a big shiny, Hollywood smile. She came back to her seat lovingly carrying my red roses and then had the audacity to offer me one! From in the middle of the bouquet.

As she handed me the was a perfect rosebud just about to burst into bloom, I managed to look at her, and then I saw it! She vibrated. She vibrated at the same frequency as the roses – my roses. But they were not my roses, because my obsession had muted my vibration.

“Oh, thank you…you’re so kind.” I smelled the rose and smiled in gratitude. When I looked up again, Snow White and her benefactor were both gone. I couldn’t have imagined it. The single rosebud was still in my hand!

Betty elbowed me and said, “Wow! That was such a great concert. And wasn’t that singer sexy?”

“Huh? What? What singer?”

We walked out into the darkness and parted ways. I was still feeling the good vibes and holding my beautiful rosebud to my heart in gratitude  I finally understood what I was missing and it was not a Valentine’s date! It was the missing piece of the law of attraction. I was pushing my desires away by trying too hard. I had received the best Valentine’s Day gift ever. I had been given the secret to the law of manifestation. I would vibrate, I must vibrate, I will vibrate at the level of my desires.

“Thank God…for those silicone implants in the soles of my feet!” My Jimmy Choo’s clicked down the sidewalk as I tried to remember where the heck is my car!
